Are the prices shown final?

How do I know if a property is available?

All availability is live — every search reads the property’s real-time calendar. If a room appears in your results, it is bookable right now for those dates.

Can I book for someone else?

Yes. At checkout, enter the guest’s full name as on their ID and their mobile number. The confirmation and GST invoice go to your account email; the property reserves the room in the guest’s name.

Do I need an account to book?

Yes — a free account keeps your confirmation code, GST invoice and Paisa Points in one place, and lets you change dates or cancel from your Trips page. You can sign up with just an email and a password, or with your mobile number and an OTP.

What does “pay at the hotel” mean?

You reserve the room now at today’s price and pay ₹0 online. Your booking is confirmed instantly with a confirmation code, and you settle the full amount by UPI or cash at check-in. It is offered on rate plans the property marks as pay-at-property.

Which payment methods are accepted?

UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM and any UPI app) through Razorpay at booking, or pay at the hotel on eligible rate plans. Cards and net banking are offered wherever the payment gateway supports them.

Is my payment secure?

Accepted Answer

Online payments are processed by Razorpay, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant gateway. PAAVS never sees or stores your card or UPI credentials — we only receive a payment confirmation.

How do I cancel a booking?

Open the booking from your Trips page and choose Cancel. You will see the property’s cancellation policy and any refund due before you confirm. Cancelled bookings stay in your Trips history.

When will I get my refund?

Refunds for eligible online payments are returned to the original UPI account or card, usually within 5–7 business days depending on your bank. Pay-at-hotel bookings have nothing to refund because nothing was charged.

What are the cancellation policies?

Each property sets its own policy per rate plan — for example free cancellation until 24 hours before check-in, or a non-refundable rate at a lower price. The policy that applies is shown on the room, at checkout and on your booking.

How do I get a GST invoice?

A GST-ready tax invoice is generated for every booking. Open the booking from your Trips page and tap “GST invoice”. It carries the property’s GSTIN, the CGST/SGST breakdown and a consecutive invoice number.

Can I add my company GSTIN to a booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Turn on “I need a GST invoice for my business” at checkout and enter the GSTIN and business name, or save them once under Account › GST profile. They appear on the tax invoice automatically.

What is the GST rate on hotel stays?

Accepted Answer

Hotel rooms are taxed by nightly tariff under the GST slabs notified by the Government of India, split equally into CGST and SGST for in-state stays. The exact rate and amount for your room are shown in the price breakdown before you book.

I forgot my password — what do I do?

Choose “Forgot password?” on the sign-in page and enter your email. We will send a link that lasts an hour and can be used once. If you signed up with your mobile number, sign in with an OTP instead.

How do I change which emails and messages I get?

Go to Account › Notifications to choose booking updates, WhatsApp confirmations and offers. Transactional messages about a confirmed booking — like your confirmation code — are always sent.

Does PAAVS take a commission from hosts?

Accepted Answer

Far less than an OTA. Direct bookings through a property’s own site or widget carry 2%, bookings from the PAAVS marketplace 10%, and walk-ins nothing — all on the room price before GST, and guests pay no service fee. Beyond that, a property pays a flat monthly PMS or HMS subscription (from ₹495/month for small stays, 14-day free trial).

How long does it take to go live?

Most properties go live in under a day. Add your rooms, rates and photos, our team verifies the listing, and you add your bank account and GSTIN for payouts and invoices — then bookings can start.
